YOUnited Nations

 

YouNited Nations is another contest hosted by the Berrics. In this contest skateboarders from all around the world send in a 5 minute skate video. Millions of videos are sent in, then the Berrics staff watches all of them. They choose 15 to put up on the website.The videos are voted from one to ten by the viewers on the site. Who ever gets the most votes wins. When the video is chosen, the skateboarders get money and an all expense paid trip to skate at the exclusive Berrics skate park.

BATTLE AT THE BERRICS

  Battle at the Berrics is a contest that is held at the Berrics skatepark. This contest is a game of S.K.A.T.E. For people that do not know what that is, it is the same thing as playing P.I.G in basketball. Instead of taking shots, you do skateboarding tricks. Then if you land the trick and the person after you doesnt. They get a letter. Whoever gets S.K.A.T.E first, loses. After the player wins, they go on to face thier next apponent. In this contest there are over 30 Skateboarders that play this game. The winner gets a large sum of money. This contest is held over a 3 month period of time.

On theberrics.com, there is a section called Recrutied. These videos are based upon skateboarders that are amature, but are on there way to professional. This video section gives skateboarders the lime light on a major site. The videos are two minute long clips of the skateboarder doing the best tricks they can at the berrics skate park. This section of videos has given awareness of professional skateboarders to come.

The website is all about an indoor skatepark that skateboarding pros Eric Koston and Steve Berra created, called the Berrics.
